Humility

Humility....

That is the thing God has me studying this week.... both old and new testament study, and a little book by Andrew Murray. Perhaps I'll post a prayer request about this, because the more I study humility, the more I see how pride still has an ugly hold on me.... ah, what a wretch! Thanks be to God for JESUS!

I've seen you reading the book. Yeah, pride is something a lot of people have trouble with, and though it seems little, it could take control of us without us even realizing it!

Yeah!Most of us need to learn the lesson of humilty....And not just as a lesson But as sort of a Job...

Yes, well, here's what I've learned about humility:

1. When Jesus returns to reign on the earth, He will actually ride forth in victory on behalf of...humility! (Ps. 45) Wow, God must really value it!

2. One of the synonyms for humility is "unpretentious". So, to be humble means to be yourself, and not make yourself out to be something else. To be humble is to be REAL, and that means risking having others reject you for it...

3. The opposite of humiility is pride. God opposes pride. Pride is the same as promoting yourself. If we're walking in pride, God uses things like oppression (the devil's attack), calamity, sorrow, and rebuke to humble us.
